Help Them
Home Capital
Campaign

The Help Them Home Capital Campaign, supporting the development and new construction of The Austin Street Center for Community Engagement, aids in our mission to provide safe shelter and meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable homeless. The new 60,000 square-feet, 24/7, client-focused homeless shelter and day service center will expand much needed services for the men and women of Dallas in need.

We are proud to have raised $14.9 million to date, but need your help in reaching our goal.

Our Approach To Ending Homelessness

Austin Street Center works tirelessly to bring an end to homelessness in Dallas, one person at a time. In serving our homeless neighbors, we provide necessities such as a safe shelter, meals, showers and clothing. Austin Street’s ultimate goal is to Help Them Home with services including mental and physical health care, substance use recovery support, employment assistance and access to permanent housing.

The current facility has had no break in operations for 28 years and includes several issues consisting of minimal day services; shared restrooms and shower spaces; lacks dining, facility engagement center, full service commercial kitchen, educational and clinical spaces; failing HVAC systems, plumbing and sewer systems; and is at capacity for both clients and staff.
