Hope's Clothing & Consignment - Austin Street's Store to Open Soon at Casa Linda Plaza

Plans are being finalized for the grand opening of Austin Street’s “Hope's Clothing & Consignment”, a retail destination for gently used, upscale apparel, electronics and furniture, as well as selected items on consignment.

The 7,000 square foot store will be located in the southwest corner of the Casa Linda Plaza Shopping Center (at the corner of Garland and Buckner Roads), between Natural Grocers and Starbucks.

“Forget what you think you know about ‘benefit stores’”, stated John Bruce, Director of Retail Operations & Marketing for Austin Street. “Hope's Clothing & Consignment is honored to be a part of the Casa Linda Plaza storied history, and we look forward to creating a niche market in the area.”

While producing revenue for Austin Street Center is paramount for this store, Bruce said that the client training, courtesy of the Center’s Work Readiness Program, will make the real difference. “We will be teaching the Austin Street clients that work in our store “Retail 101”, so they will have a jump-start in the retail world when they transition back into the community.”

Bruce also commented on Austin Street’s partnership with the Austin Street Women’s Alliance. “There is an untapped resource of donated goods and volunteers that the Women’s Alliance will provide, making our store that much more special. We welcome their knowledge and enthusiasm.”
