ASC Psychological Services
In addition to providing emergency shelter, clothing, food and general care to a minimum of 400 homeless men, women and children each day, Austin Street Center also offers a full range of rehabilitation services including psychiatric consultation.
Weekly psychiatric and chemical dependency evaluations are conducted by Robert Bennett, M.D. to determine if the client is ready for individual or group therapies. In addition to psychological therapies, clients with depression or psychosis work with Dr. Bennett for medication management and supportive social services.
Dr. Bennett, in private practice with The Dallas Analytic Group, received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and is a clinical professor at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.
