Dallas

Pat Summerall Humble Beginnings Award at an awards
luncheon benefiting Austin Street Centre, set for Tuesday,
March 18, 2008.
The
luncheon, now in its 7th year, will again be co-emceed by
Summerall and KTCK-The Ticket radio personality
Norm Hitzges.
Set
to take place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas,
tickets for the event are $100. A limited amount of VIP
tickets that include an invitation to a "meet &
greet" reception, are available for $200.
Sponsorships,
which ensure priority seating, corporate
exposure and "meet & greet"
invitations, are available at the following levels:
-
HALL OF FAME: $7,500
- RING
OF HONOR: $5,000
- MVP:
$2,500
- CHAMPIONSHIP:

The
event raises more than $150,000 each year for Austin Street's
operating fund and has strong support from sport enthusiasts
in Dallas.
"This
promises to be another sell-out event,
so those who plan to attend should purchase their tickets
early," advised Rev. Bubba Dailey, Austin Street’s
executive director. "It's a wonderful opportunity to
give a warm Dallas welcome to Coach Phillips!"
Past
recipients of the award, which recognizes those in the sports
profession who have risen from humble beginnings or who
contribute their time to those less fortunate, include Summerall,
former University of Texas Coach Darrell Royal,
Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells,
the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor members,
PGA champion Lee Trevino, former Dallas
Cowboys Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith
and Michael Irvin, and last year’s
